Cyriacus the Hermit and Saint Theophanes Merciful a Holy Divine Liturgy was held at the Macedonian Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas in Perth, and the faithful partook of the Holy Gifts of Christ. The Holy Divine Liturgy was celebrated by our parish Archpriest, Father Stanko Jovanovski, together with Archpriest Father Milorad, a cleric from the Serbian Orthodox Church.<\/p>\n<p>11th of October holds deep significance for all Macedonians, as we commemorate the 1941 anti-fascist uprising by our Macedonian forefathers. On that occasion, after the Holy Liturgy, a memorial service was held in honour of the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our Macedonian people.\u00a0 This solemn prayer and wreath-laying ceremony was held in front of the memorial to the fallen soldiers, paying tribute to their bravery and dedication.<\/p>\n<p>Father Stanko, and the former church president Philip Paioff, together with Terrance and Kosta Paioff delivered insightful speeches about the day\u2019s historical importance.<\/p>\n<p>We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Women\u2019s Section of the Church for their wonderful effort in organizing the light refreshments, including some traditional Macedonian foods, coffee, and a warm gathering after the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>It was
