NEDELA) IN GOLD COAST SOLEMNLY CELEBRATED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Gold Coast, Australia | 19\u201320 July 2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With great spiritual joy and prayerful solemnity, the Macedonian Orthodox Church of St. Great Martyr Kyriaki (St. Nedela) in Gold Coast celebrated its patronal feast, which this year was marked by a two-day programme of divine services, communal prayer, and fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The celebration began on Sunday, 19 July, on the eve of the patronal feast, with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, attended by a large number of faithful from Gold Coast, Brisbane, and surrounding areas. The Divine Liturgy was presided over by Fr. Gavril (Galev), concelebrating with the parish priest, Fr. Stojancho Janev.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following the Divine Liturgy, the celebration continued in the church grounds with a festive community gathering and the Agape Meal (Meal of Love), organized by the parish and its many dedicated volunteers. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by the musical group Balkanika, whose performance brought joy and fellowship to all those present.<\/p>\n<p>Later that same day, in the afternoon, the Service of Great Vespers was celebrated.<\/p>\n<p>The main feast day celebration took place on Monday, 20 July, when the Holy Orthodox Church commemorates St. Great Martyr Kyriaki (St. Nedela). A solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Fr. Gavril (Galev), concelebrating with Protopresbyter Gjorgji Mitev and the parish priest Fr. Stojancho Janev. A large congregation of the faithful prayerfully participated in the Divine Liturgy and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following the Divine Liturgy, the Service of the Lesser Blessing of Waters was celebrated, after which the newly installed mosaic icon of St. Great Martyr Kyriaki, placed above the main entrance of the church, was solemnly blessed. The faithful present shared in the joy of this special occasion, which marked another significant milestone in the beautification of their parish church.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The celebration continued with the blessing of the Slava bread (kolach) and kollyva, after which the faithful gathered for a festive meal and fellowship, bringing to a fitting conclusion the two-day celebration of
