\/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s gospel readings (refer: John 1, 43-50) is another historical testimony and a concrete example of a perfect prayer community and relationship between God and man; It is testimony of fulfilled prayer. When Christ says to Nathanael: &#8220;When you were under the fig tree, I saw you&#8221;, in fact, He revealed him, Who listened (Nathanael&#8217;s prayer). Naturally, Christ now reveals to Nathanael Who fulfils completely and for real, that prayer.<\/p>\n<p>And Nathanael with his answer reveals to us and bears witness that in the God-Man Christ recognizes Him to whom He prayed and whom He solely searched in the prayer &#8211; the Son of God and the King of Israel, the expected Messiah. And who else could know what was happening in the heart and in the mind of Nathanael , but God himself?<\/p>\n<p>So, I do not know what I would rather admire:\u00a0 Nathanael&#8217;s prayer, in which he is seeking Him alone, or in its perfect fulfilment &#8211; both as a mystical experience and as a personal encounter in real &#8211; by the God-Man Christ? Or, these two things cannot be separated, neither as an occurrence nor as inspiration &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, our prayer to the Lord may resemble &#8211; as when a crowd of people standing afar from, and turning to the king, as if we were among a dozen people close to the emperor and the prayer could be as when talking to the king face to face. These three prayer conditions correspond to the three stages of the spiritual life: purification of the heart from the passions, illumination of the mind with the gift of ceaseless prayer of the mind in the heart, and, deification. In general, all our problems relate to the fight against thoughts, the struggle against passions, and even the problems with bodily illnesses and pains can be immediately or quickly overcome by prayer, simply by prayerfully moving the mind in the heart.<\/p>\n<p>We said, that the prayer can be as when talking to the king face to face. Such is the prayer of the perfect. Such was the case of the prayer of Nathanael. Confirmation of this is also his apostolic dignity, given by the Lord Himself. His apostolic dignity evidently corresponds to his inner spiritual condition, as was the custom of ordination and appointment of the Apostles and Bishops in the first three centuries. Confirmation of his perfect prayer is his perfect ( i.e. martyrdom) death.<\/p>\n<p>According to the observation (experience) of all Saints, the only foundation of true spiritual life is true faith. True faith unites man with God. Participation in the true faith in the Church simultaneously means participation in the true grace. True faith is a criterion for true spiritual life. Also the real, Orthodox and ascetical spiritual life in the Church is the only method by which it comes to the knowledge of the true faith, to the knowledge of God.<\/p>\n<p>The knowledge of the truth, on a personal level and in a strictly orthodox sense, is not an intellectual human achievement, but above all it is God&#8217;s gift of enlightenment of the mind and deification of the person. The gift of God, which is obtained after the great struggle of purifying the heart from the passions, in the Church. Therefore, it is very necessary, in addition to the effort to preserve the true faith at all costs, to preserve the true ascetical-hesychastic tradition in the Church, the tradition of ceaseless prayer of the mind in the heart ( Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me).<\/p>\n<p>Yes, &#8220;Come and see!&#8221;
