1-11)\u00a0 after only a few days for various reasons, deny Him ? (Luke 23; 1-25)<\/p>\n<p>It is also true for us today, however the difference being that there may be some kind of justification for them, but there is no justification for us.<\/p>\n<p>The reason is our heart is held captive by passions, our relation with the worldly forms of self-identity (state, nation, party) instead of the pastoral approach to these issues.<\/p>\n<p>The reason is fascination, as well as the dependence on this world and its passing beauty.<\/p>\n<p>The reason, most plainly said , is our desire for &#8220;kingdom of earth&#8221; instead of the Kingdom of Heaven.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t we notice this subtle intent within us, starting with ourselves and our most close family, to the widest community, to create a kind of &#8220;earthly kingdom&#8221; of pleasures &#8211; pleasures\u00a0 to our own measure; and, don&#8217;t we notice that the more effort we put in, the more the &#8220;earthly kingdom&#8221; is farther and farther away from us?<\/p>\n<p>It is not in vain that the God-Man Christ said:<\/p>\n<p>First seek the Kingdom of Heaven, and everything else shall be added to you ( Luke; 12, 31).<\/p>\n<p>The Church of Christ and its faithful servants do not preach and do not prepare us for &#8220;the kingdom of the earth,&#8221; but for the Kingdom of Heaven.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, the Kingdom of Heaven, which, above all is inside us (Luke; 17, 21), there are two ways to enter: either through a willful struggle to purify the heart from the passions &#8211; when God&#8217;s grace of baptism shows us the place of the heart where our mind needs ascetically and then gracefully to unite with its essence and through it with God; or through patience &#8211; with gratitude for the unwanted sufferings that God&#8217;s providence allows in our lives for our salvation.<\/p>\n<p>These are the two main paths by which we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven, although there are other combinations, depending on the stage of spiritual growth we are at.<\/p>\n<p>Those who voluntarily undertake these struggles, in obedience, will find the Kingdom of Heaven inside themselves, pass from death to life &#8211;
