We express our deepest sorrow and condemnation regarding the horrific terrorist attack that occurred at Bondi Beach. Such acts of violence are an affront to the sanctity of human life and the peace that God calls us to uphold. As the Apostle Paul reminds us: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21).
Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and all those affected by this senseless tragedy. We pray fervently for the repose of the souls of the departed, for the healing of the injured, and for comfort to those who mourn.
As followers of Christ, we reaffirm our commitment to peace, compassion, and unity. Violence and hatred have no place in our society or in the hearts of humanity. We call upon all people to reject extremism and to work together for a world rooted in love and mutual respect.
May the Lord grant strength to the grieving and guide us all toward reconciliation and hope.
